Beginning
conversation & pronunciation
Mondays & Wednesdays 5:05-5:55 PM.
Focus on asking and answering questions using the
past, present & future verb tenses; basic
vocabulary building; work on common pronunciation
difficulties. Session 1: 9/8-10/1;
Session 2: 10/6-10/29; Session 3:
11/3-11/26; Session 4: 12/1, 3, 5, 8, 10,
12, 15 & 17. ($55 per session). Instructor: Pam
Wendler-Shaw, ABD Applied Linguistics, Boston
University. Register at City Hall or at the Oregon
Language Center.
Intermediate
conversation &
pronunciation
Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00-6:50 PM.
Complex grammatical structures will be introduced
and practiced with higher level students in free
and structured conversational settings. English
sound patterns will be explored and practiced.
Session 1: 9/8-10/1; Session 2:
10/6-10/29; Session 3: 11/3-11/26;
Session 4: 12/1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 &

Language At
Lunch
Wednesdays 12:00-1:00 PM.
Dine on English during your lunch hour. Each week
we will practice a different aspect of English,
from grammar reviews to reading comprehension to
writing a business letter. Drop-in class; no
registration necessary. $10 per lunchtime lesson,
payable on arrival. Cash payment only for lunchtime
lessons, please. Instructor: Pam Wendler-Shaw, ABD,
Applied Linguistics, Boston University. Schedule
of lessons will be posted in the window of the
Oregon Language Center. Begins October
1.
