English Study-Vacation
for adults age 18+

One month programs with morning classes & afternoon field trips.
Homestays available for participants.

Mini program for beginners
Orientation: Thursday, July 7, 4-6 p.m.
Classes: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4-6 pm.
$150 (does not include field trips)

August 5 - 29 (3 weeks, intensive)
Regular session: Intermediate students
$650 Tuition & activity fees

Regular sessions include 16 hours per week of professional English instruction; all class materials; access to computer lab; local afternoon field trips or activities; transportation and admission fees for 3 full-day out-of-town field trips; and a goodbye party. Classes, activities, and field trips are held Monday through Friday. Weekends are free for exploring on your own. Session prices do not include airfare, airport transportation to/from Albany, lodging or meals.

ESL Half-Day Camp
for "tweens"

Games, songs & fun activities incorporating speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar lessons for beginning ESL students entering grades 5, 6, 7 & 8.


Weekdays from 9 am-12 pm
All materials included (except lunch).
Lunchtime will be supervised for students staying for science camp.

July 18-22, Monday through Friday, $100
July 25-29, Monday through Friday, $100

Attention International Students:

U.S. State Department regulations prohibit visitors on B-2 visas or the Visa Waiver Program from taking more than 18 hours of classes per week.  Participants on Student Visas are not subject to these regulations.


Shaw Science Zone
for "tweens"

 Hands-on Science Day Camps for gifted, talented & highly motivated "tweens" (ages 9-12).  
  Local & international students.


Weekdays from 1 - 4 pm.
Maximum class size: 12
All materials included. Schedule subject to
change for the convenience of registrants.

Instructor: Russel Shaw (B.S. Elementary Education & Middle School Science; Gifted Certification & ESL endorsement; M.A., Educational Administration)
Mr. Shaw has taught hands-on science for more than 20 years in Florida and Oregon public schools as well as at the Museum of Science & Industry, Tampa. He also taught English as a Second Language in Seoul, Korea, for 2 years. He currently teaches 5th grade in a multicultural classroom at Sunrise Elementary in Albany.
